Electric Vehicles (EV) : The Dawn of the New Era in India Since coming to power the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, has announced one green energy initiative after the other. His first commitment was to set up 100,000 MW of solar power generating capacity by 2022. After that , Government of India had launched the National Electric Mobility Mission Plan 2020 , to achieve national fuel security by promoting electric and hybrid electric vehicles apart from that state governments have launched schemes and incentives to promote electric mobility in the country.
